What are your life/career plans after Ohlone College?
Post Ohlone, I plan to transfer to San Jose State or Humboldt State University and obtain my B.A in sociology. Upon transferring, I wish to further develop on my current skill set, expand my social connections, and also dive deeper into sociology and explore the different branches.

Why are you interested in mental health and wellness?
There are quite a few reasons I could list, but the top one on my list is that I want everyone’s stories to be read or heard. I want to let them know that I am here for them, regardless of what our relationship is. The issue is that severe stigma pertaining to mental health and wellness is existent. Among them is that being mentally and emotionally impacted is seen as a weakness. It’s absurd or that it’s their fault. It is most certainly not a setback at all. At the end of the day, we are all human beings.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Honestly, I don’t know. Life is full of surprises, good ones and bad. Life doesn’t always go straight and you might have to take a few or a lot of detours. Hopefully in ten years, I see myself having completed my Bachelor’s with a concentration in social interactions or something community related and being financially stable.

What kind do you like to do in your free time?
During my leisure time, I am down for any volunteer work (should it fit with my schedule), reading, and especially photography. I started Photography senior year of high school and since then I’ve been gradually working on it. I love photography because it allows enables the ability for individuals to capture the small moments that are often overlooked and underestimated.

What’s your favorite genre of music?
Mmm, tough one. There is really no favorite genre or favorite anything for me. I think that each genre is unique in their own way. Each genre has their own
motive or story to it.

What’s your favorite movie snack?
Favorite movie snack would be nachos!
