Currently, the Ohlone STEP Up Program is generously funded by California Community College Chancellor’s Office with Proposition 98 funds delegated to the expansion of mental health services on California Community College campuses.
STEP Up Ohlone 2014-2017 previously received federal funding by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s Garret Lee Smith Campus Suicide Prevention Grant.
The STEP Up Ohlone 2012-2014 campaign was also generously funded by the Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services, Campus Mental Health Education and Services Grants. The funds were part of the Student Mental Health Initiative, supported by the voter-approved Proposition 63 Mental Health Services Act, passed in 2004.
